Open your door to Danny Saucedo!

We're opening the door to the possiblity of Danny Saucedo winning Melodifestivalen 2008......?

That was Öppna din dörr - although perhaps it was better keeping it closed! Sounds like something Tommy Nilsson would sing - oh he did! Danny made 24 in the charts with it - but don't despair his recent chart topper Tokyo is more like it!

Our sauces (hot and spicey BBQ) have tipped us off that Danny will be a Melodifestivalen wild card entry? While we wait and wonder if this is true.... who is he?
Daniel Gabriel Alessandro Saucedo Grzechowski, now that's a bit of a mouthful so we'll just call him Danny, was a finalist in (Swedish) Idol 2006.

His father is Polish and mother Bolivian, and he is fluent in Spanish, English, Swedish and French aparently - so there's the mulit-lingual reprise sorted.

Danny's new single Play it for the girls (and some boys too) is out now and can be heard here

Meanwhile, Melodifestivalen application forms need to be submitted to SVT by September, so we're getting the bontempi out to tinker with our entry Change the key - to unlock your dreams.

We must dust down our Christer Balls to see what Melodifestivalen 2008 has in store...

Will it be a triumphant trio schlagertastic return for Shirley, Sanna och Sonja?

Will it be third time lucky for Andreas Johnson singing Sing for me variations on a theme?

Will Måns Zelmerlöw be back? Don't forget his album "Stand up for" is out today!

In this changing world of musical tastes, at least the Melodifestivalen quota for different musical styles will guarantee a least some schlager. The Melodimen hope that Sweden will return to form with what they do best... strutting to a bouncy melodi, with harmonies, stormvind machines and a key change!

So...... 2008 has to be Lotta's year! We're starting our campaign now! Any excuse to repost the fabulous 100%! What a lotta to look forward to......

PS! Anyone gotta stamp to post our application form to Sweden...?

Shirley Sanna and Sonja collaberating would be great - they could be the new Hanson, Carson & Malmkvist.

I just hope Shirley doesn't go and spoil it all with an acoustic guitar.

Hang on: Does this mean Sanna's going to have to put 'Du vågade inte...' on a back burner? *shock horror*

Hey - thanks for your comment on my blog - I would've loved the ESC to be in Cardiff next year, or, even better, Sweden - that would be heaven for me, to see Eurovision in Sweden - I wish Sanna had won MF - I just love her but Måns was fab too.

Anyway, hope you'll keep in touch - take care
